Outlines

The Outlines feature creates cartoon-style edges around your model, enhancing its silhouette and creating a stylized look.

Main Parameters

Use Outline

Toggle to enable or disable the outline effect.

Outline Color

Sets the color of the outline. This is typically black for traditional cartoon styles, but can be any color.

Outline Width

Controls the thickness of the outline. Higher values create thicker outlines.

Outline Textures

Use Outline Texture

Toggle to enable a texture on the outline.

Outline Texture

A texture that is applied to the outline. This can be used to create textured or patterned outlines.

Outline Mask

A grayscale texture that controls where the outline appears. White areas show the outline, while black areas hide it.

Outline Width Mask

A grayscale texture that controls the width of the outline in different areas. White areas have the full outline width, while black areas have no outline.

Advanced Outline Settings

Use Vertex Color

When enabled, the outline uses the vertex colors of the model to influence its appearance.

Usage

Outlines are a key element in creating a cartoon or cel-shaded look:

  1. Enable "Use Outline"
  2. Adjust the Outline Width to your preference
  3. Set the Outline Color
  4. For more control, use the Outline Mask to define where outlines appear
