HSL Adjustment
The HSL Adjustment feature allows you to modify the Hue, Saturation, and Lightness of your material without changing the underlying textures.
Main Parameters
Use HSL Adjustment
Toggle to enable or disable the HSL adjustment effect.
Hue Shift
Shifts the hue of the material's colors. The range is from -180 to 180 degrees around the color wheel, allowing you to completely change the color scheme.
Saturation
Adjusts the intensity of the colors. Positive values increase saturation for more vibrant colors, while negative values decrease saturation toward grayscale.
Lightness
Controls the brightness of the colors. Positive values brighten the material, while negative values darken it.
Usage
HSL Adjustment is useful for creating color variations or correcting colors without modifying textures:
- Enable "Use HSL Adjustment"
- Adjust Hue Shift to change the color scheme (e.g., turn reds into blues)
- Modify Saturation to control color intensity
- Adjust Lightness to brighten or darken the overall appearance
This feature is particularly useful for:
- Creating multiple color variations of the same material
- Adjusting the mood or tone of a material
- Matching colors across different assets
- Creating seasonal variations (e.g., autumn colors vs. summer colors)
HSL Adjustment affects all colored aspects of the material, including the base color, emission, and other effects.
